Hey Guys
Yesterday after dueling someone who had a synchro deck
I sat and thought about synchro monsters.
Basically all u have to do is get a tuner and non-tuner monster out and u can special summon a powerhouse monster
And that got me thinking theres absolutely no catch to Synchro summoning
But then i realized every great card or strategy in the game has a set back
and I found out something most people don't know while synchro summoning
To Synchro summon sure all u need is a tuner and any non tuner monster but the combined levels of the two monsters must be exectly equal to that of the synchro moster.
I dont know how many times someone i have been dueling syncs a dark catapulter with a level 4 monster to summon stardust dragon although it has 8 stars and those add up to only 6
Ive seen many a player make this mistake from rookies to some of the best players I know.
If u dont belive me heres a direct quote from the offical 2010 rule book
"Synchro monsters are placed in the extra deck, separate from the main deck. You can special summon a powerful Synchro Monster to the field n an instant just by using th elevels of your monsters. They can be synchro summoned from the extra deck by sending one face up tuner monster and any number of non-tuner monsters from your side of the field to the graveyard, when the sum of all their level is exactly equal to the level of the Synchro monster"
The rule book also gives this example"
Junk Synchron (level 2) + Speed Warrior (level 3) = Junk Warrior (level 5)
2 + 3 = 5
So I hope this helps people who dont know this rule and if u already knew this rule please tell others who don't about it, because many people have no idea and everyone everywhere deserves a fair match and it should be a priority u give them that chance.
So till next time take care and play fair
